This was painted during the Black Lives Matter Movement. Before I painted this piece, I watched my church’s sermon, and one of the pastors mentioned that this movement symbolizes the end of the 400-year curse over God’s chosen children. And the people of African-American descent are to reap the good rewards from the Lord. And that day of July 12, 2021 was the day the curse broke.
